To complement the powertrain, the 2022 Tundra has been given a new suspension system, which employs a new multi-link rear suspension with coil springs. There’s a double-wishbone suspension up front, and standard twin-tube shocks at the front and back of each model. The transmission paired with the powertrain is a 10-speed Electronically Controlled Automatic Transmission with intelligence (ECTi) for a smooth experience.
Of course, inside the cabin of the Tundra, you’ll want plenty of creature comforts, and this truck delivers the goods. The 2022 Tundra will be the first Toyota model equipped with the new Audio Multimedia system which upgrades the Human Machine Interface, or HMI, to be more intuitive and responsive to your commands, which can be done through sight, touch, and voice.
Safety is also a paramount concern, so you’ll be pleased to know that Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 comes standard on all 2022 Tundra models. This suite of smart safety tech includes the Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Automatic High Beams, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, and more.
